Marangu Route is the most popular route and is also known as the Coca-Cola route. It takes 5 days going and return or 6 Days Comfortable hike, and climbers stay in huts with beds. This is only route where you will sleep in huts; other routes mostly sleep in tents.
Day 01: Breakfast, transfer from the lodge to Kilimanjaro National Park at Marangu Gate. From here you trek through the lush forest to Mandara Hut (2,750m)-Dinner & Overnight-Mandara Hut
Day 02: Leaving the forest, you trek along a good path through open grassy moorlands to reach Horombo Hut (3,700m)-Dinner & Overnight-Horombo Hut
Day 03: Continue ascending past the “Last Water” point to reach the Saddle and Dry area between the peaks of Kibo and Mawenzi (4,700m) – Dinner & Overnight-Kibo Hut
Day 04: An early start for the stiff walk up steep and heavy scree to reach Gillma’ns point (5681m) in time for sun rise. From here it is possible to continue to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point Africa. Afterwards descend to Horombo Hut. Dinner & Overnight-Horombo Hut
Day 05: Descend to the Park Gate. You transferred back to your hotel/lodge for the night.
